As the casual, eat-with-your-hands sibling restaurant to sophisticated bistro Anneke Jans next door, AJ's transforms the simple pizza into a work of art. The signature wood-burning grill blisters thin crusts of pies, which support a bevy of gourmand-friendly toppings like Great Hill blue cheese, arugula and house-smoked bacon. Salads, sandwiches, beer and wine round out the hearty menu.
Quality Flatbread Pizza!!!

Went there tonight and had the BBQ chicken pizza which was soooooo good! The sauce was spicy and a little sweet with a smokey background. Also tried the Nancy White pizza, also good.
I would totally go back to this place. If you like fresh, flatbread grilled pizza you have to go. Even if it's not close by you have to make the drive. We did on the way to Kittery Outlets and we will for sure be going back. There were about 10 or 12 different pizzas to pick from or make your own. The salads looked great along with the wraps. Lots to choose from, not just pizza. It is obvious they use quality ingredients because it shows in the taste. A small dining room so go a little early for dinner and enjoy great pizza!!
- Pros: Lots of topping choices, quality ingredients at decent price
- Cons: small dining room area fells tight if busy
