A Bit Disappointing

by huskyduck

Make no mistake, the lobster roll here is still good but it does not compare to far more superior rolls you can find further north. That said, the real star of the menu here are the deep fried whole belly clams. The clam chowder is a thin brothed styled soup, not the thick and creamy type more commonly found along the coast, which can be either a good or bad thing depending on your particular taste.

For the non seafooders, the shack offers excellent burgers and other non seafood fare that are generally pretty good. But most everyone who makes this trek opts for the lobster roll.

  • Pros: Whole Bellied Clams; thin brothed styled clam chowder; great location.

Best View in the Portland Area

by maineguide007

The view is the thing here. You can sit outside or inside and have a fine view of the ocean. The food is good basic downeast seafood. Desserts are great too.

  • Cons: limited parking, crowded at times
