This is just a basic review because All Brand solved the problem over the phone.
Somehow I vacuumed up something that the motor didn't like because I heard a clink and it shut right down. I figured I broke the motor and called All Brand.
The man who answered said it could possibly be fixed by hitting a switch. He held on to the phone patiently while I ran down to the garage and dragged a ladder over the unit. He told me where to look for a reset button and I told him if it worked that I'd feel guilty for bothering him. He said that is what they are there for. I hit the reset and voila! It worked.
An Easy Choice.
We purchased a Wessel-Werk powerhead vacuum kit from All Brand last summer. We started having issues with the power cutting in and out, and brought the unit back last fall. The folks there were able to find the problem to be some loose screws in the cord connection on the telescoping wand. I reinforced the connection, where a section of plastic was ripping, with some black duct tape.
A week ago, it became obvious that the fix wasn't working. I brought the wand back today, met with the same gentleman as in my earlier visit, and after digging out back and not finding what he was looking for, he opened a new kit, handed me the wand and bade me good day with a smile.
Good customer service is not just one aspect of a sales relationship, it is the ONLY one (well, at least to me!) ALL Brand Vacuum Cleaners on Forest Ave. in Portland is where we and all our informed friends will ALWAYS go for all our vacuuming needs. You would be wise to see for yourself.
