lobster roll?? yeah right. bad service...worse food. way too expensive. go somewhere else

This upstart restaurant and brewery took root in 1992 on the banks of the Kennebunk River, and like kudzu it's taken over the world. Well, nearly. It's opened a brewpub in Florida and a brewery in Portland, and has big plans elsewhere. This flagship restaurant, overlooking the marina and river, includes a bright and sunny dining room, a handsome game room with pool tables and backgammon and an open deck perfect for enjoying one of the robust beers.

The Food
The grub here is more creative than at most brewpubs, and certainly not stinting in size. But it's a hit-or-miss proposition, with some dishes (like the baked beans and beer-steamed mussels) getting high ratings, and others landing wide of the mark.
