Hearty American-Italian Fare

Despite the other review on here, I checked out this straight-from-The-Godfather restaurant (I checked the toilet for Michael Corleone's gun...) and found it to be a VERY pleasant experience. I didn't go for the marinara as my Mom makes the best and why would I ever set myself up to be disappointed?...I've learned that lesson at other restaurants. But had the Chicken Marsala as suggested to me by my surprisingly professional waitress and have been craving it ever since. Not to mention a nice big glass of wine--something that always makes me happy. Will definitely be going back on a cold night when I need some comfort food and want to be pampered.
- Pros: The portions fed me for days...

another subpar italian restaurant in maine

the sauce here is the worse you wil ever have, hands down, bar none. the cheapest of ingredients across the board and a big price. good coffee here, probably the best thing in the house. atmosphere is very inviting. no casa novello for me. anthony's in portland only italian joint i like in portland area.
