World-class elegance in a rustic, small-town setting.. The Scene
Housed in an elegantly restored 1860s barn, the restaurants is romantic coziness incarnate. Candlelit white linen tables, live piano music and charming views of antiques and paintings in the rafters spell rustic refinement. And then there's the service; a deep and clever wine list, a well-stocked, rolling cheese cart and near-perfect timing on the staff's part.

The Food
Chef Jonathan Cartwright stuns palates with his internationally inspired but locally grounded food. Witness the unbelievably rich seared foie gras with braised local endive, muscat and sweet-tart orange sauce. A bowl of lovingly turned out lobster in homemade fettucine comes flecked with fresh carrots, ginger, snow peas, and a decadent cognac coral butter sauce. Dessert brings the likes of a pillowy hazelnut souffle with hand-made caramel swirl ice cream that is lightly textured and deeply flavored.
